The pump may not be the failed component
A pump that will not start, runs continuously or triggers an alarm can be affected by the power supply, protection, panel components, level devices, pressure sensors, wiring or system conditions.
Control faults we investigate
Common symptoms include:
- High-level or pump-fault alarms
- Duty or standby pump not changing over
- Overload trips and contactor faults
- Float switches sticking or failing
- Pressure switch or sensor problems
- Pumps running continuously or not starting
Electrical safety
Do not open a control panel or attempt to bypass protection. Record visible lights or codes and take safe external photographs for the engineer.
